Divinity original sin 2 новая игра

Сиквел ролевой игры Divinity: Original Sin, профинансированный через краудфандинговую площадку Kickstarter.

Why not just do the dark souls thing and give the enemies a scaling buff to everything, everything you did is reset and you keep your stats and stuff, why not? its a few lines of coding i dont see why that cant be implemented.

"A few lines of coding."

I know why you don’t see. It’s because you are not a game developer, and you assume that everything you don’t know how to do must be easy. You probably also imagine that all game developers have infinite money, time, and resources.

Rather silly thing to say, i have coded some primitive crap just for the fun of it, and have the game restart with a coresponding save with all npcs getting a +20% buff really is a few lines of code, provided you do something as simple as +20% buff, it only gets to "durr devs need infinite munez" if you want to add some ng+ only mechanics.

Just because someone has coded some lines doesnt make him realise that something like this causes a lot of problems. At first you would have to take a character out of a savefile and replicate it into a new one. That actually sounds like not much mork tbh. The real work starts after that.
You could just make a "give everthing a 20% stat boost" ng+. But would that be fun?
No. This works for other games like Dark Souls. In Dark Souls gear/skills/stat dont matter that much. You can finish the game without taking 1 point of damage. On the other hand you can be max level and still get killed by starting aera mobs.
In DOS 2 relies very much on the gear/skills/stats you have and how they work together in a party. So if you have a working party at the end of a ng, you would (without rebalancing every encounter) destroy everything in Act 1 and probably Act 2 too.
The loot system would have to be checked again, merchants would have to get new inventories, every encounter needs a new skillset (at least for the first half of the game) to match with your skills, and so on.

So no, its no just "some lines of code". Unless your definition of "some" is my definition of "many".

There are mechanics later in the game that are not available in the first act. For example, the ability to see and talk to ghosts. Since it isn’t available in act 1, there are no ghosts, no quest solutions or information available from ghosts, etc. Slane (the dragon knight) mentions there are all kinds of ghosts on the island, but if you were to return with the ability to see ghosts, their absence would stand out.
Combat in the first act was not balanced for late game skills. Just having opponents get a percentage boost would leave them poorly equipped to offer any kind of challenge. Skills themselves were not designed for the grinding mechanic, so progress would be relatively uninteresting. Combat would have be to be rebalanced, just like loot, the economy, quest / combat / exploration experience, etc.

To be honest NG+ modes in games are uninteresting, honestly most of the time they are just there for the sake of replaying the story as a ♥♥♥♥ nugget and murder everything in sigh with no remorse just to see what happens.

hell dark souls 1-3 economy doesnt get rebalanced in ng+ mode, most of the crap is the same with exeption of soul gains and few items drops (mostly rings nobody gives a ♥♥♥♥ about) , its just there for the sake of being there.

and just have them do twice the damagne and have twice as much health?

Meh indifferent to ng+ modes to be fair, i just want the game finished so i can get on with act 2 and 3, but ng+ would be a handy thing to do for some faffing around. hopefully with the budget this game has its gonne be enough for few extra features, i mean 2 mil on kickstarter and some pesos from steam that has to amount to something

the hell are you on about? gear skills and stats do matter in ds games, good luck swinging around a 2 handed greatmace with starting stats. or not dying of boredom trying to kill an ng+ boss with fabazilion health with a dinky starting dagger. or doing pvp.

Also ng+ modes are boring in general, they are, as i said allready, just there for replayability, lets face it game wont give you that much of challange after you completed it, you allready know what works and what doesnt as well as have aproximate idea of encounters you will face.
